This Privacy Policy applies to information you share with Swiss Family Insurance through this website, forms, email and consultations. It is intended as a clear explanation, not a legal template. For specific questions, please contact us.

Data controller

CM Consulting & Ventures GmbH, Rothusstrasse 23, 6331 Hünenberg, Switzerland, is responsible for the processing of personal data collected through this website.

Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to reply to your enquiry and, where applicable, to provide advisory services: your name, contact details, canton of residence and any details you choose to share about your situation.

Contact and consultation requests

Information you submit through our contact or consultation form is used to process your enquiry. Form submissions are stored in the website backend database and trigger an email notification to us so that we can reply.

Where you request personal insurance advice, the relevant enquiry information may be forwarded to the responsible FINMA-registered insurance intermediary acting in cooperation with myhealth GmbH. This forwarding takes place solely to handle the enquiry or advice you have requested. Simply visiting this website does not create an insurance mediation relationship.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how this website is used. Analytics is only activated after you have given the required consent; you can refuse it or withdraw it at any time via the cookie settings in the footer. When active, Google may process pseudonymous usage information (such as pages viewed and approximate region). Content you enter into the contact or consultation form, and other sensitive personal information, is not intentionally transmitted to Google Analytics.

Cookies and consent

Functionality that is strictly necessary for the website to work may operate independently of optional analytics. Optional analytics is controlled through the consent settings shown when you first visit the site. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Referral partners

If you reach our website through a referral link (for example a link containing a “ref” parameter), we store an anonymous first-party identifier and a reference to the referral partner on your device for up to 180 days. This is used only for referral attribution, partner reporting and commission accounting. It is separate from advertising and marketing tracking: no advertising profile is created from this identifier, no Meta or Google advertising identifier is derived from it, and it is not used for cross-site tracking. Referral partners receive anonymised reporting information only — never customer contact, insurance or health data.

Payments

Payments for paid digital products, such as the Swiss Pregnancy Guide, are processed through Stripe. Payment details are entered within Stripe’s checkout; Swiss Family Insurance does not receive or store full card details. We retain the related order records (such as email address, product and payment status) as required for business and accounting purposes.

Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by Swiss law.

External service providers

We use external service providers for functions such as hosting and infrastructure, database services, email delivery, analytics and payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf to the extent needed to provide those functions.

International data processing

Some of these external service providers may process data outside Switzerland, including in the EU/EEA or the United States.

Contact via WhatsApp

WhatsApp is an optional way to reach us. Clicking a WhatsApp link on this website opens WhatsApp, a service operated by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta). Any information you share through WhatsApp is processed by that service under its own terms and privacy policy. You can always use our contact form or email instead. Please do not send medical documents or sensitive health information via WhatsApp.
